How we check links
Every game on Foundplay lives on its creator's own site. We can't promise any site is safe, but we check every link before it's listed and keep checking after.
Every few hours
We load every game's play link. If it stops working twice in a row, the game comes off the site until it works again. Each game page says when its link last worked.
Every day
Each link also gets a safety check. A game is hidden right away, until a moderator looks at it, if:
- its site is on a malware or phishing blocklist (we ask Cloudflare's and Quad9's threat filters);
- the link downloads a file instead of opening a game page;
- the page loads a known in-browser crypto miner;
- the domain has lapsed and shows a parking or "for sale" page;
- the page shows fake virus or tech-support warnings.
New games get the same checks before they go live, whether a person submits them or we find them.
What we can't see
These checks catch known problems, not everything. A site can change after we check it, and nothing outside a site can prove it's safe. Foundplay games play in your browser, so you never need to download or install anything: if a game asks you to, or asks for a password or payment details it shouldn't need, leave it.
Something wrong?
Use "Report" on the game's page and pick "Broken, misleading or unsafe link", or email [email protected]. A moderator reads every report. Game makers can also ask for a listing to come down.
