You command the Roman legions in the south against Carthage advancing from the north, and the aim is to break the enemy army before yours breaks. Before a battle you muster the armies by choosing each side's people and buying units, then pick the field and the hour. In the deployment step you select units and place them on the gold ground, then start the battle. While it runs, the screen tracks your men, the slain, morale and stamina.
