You can play online FPS games in a browser with nothing to install. Not Halo is Halo-style multiplayer, Modern Claudefare is a Modern Warfare tribute with bots or online play, and Quake III Arena and shareware Doom have deathmatch.

Can I play against bots?
In some. Modern Claudefare and StickFrag let you play against bots or online.
Are these games free?
Yes. Every game here plays free in a browser tab. A few show ads or sell extras on their own sites.
Can I play them on a phone?
Games marked Phone-friendly have touch controls. The rest need a keyboard, so they're best on a computer.
